Olympic weightlifting is part puzzle, part power. You could spend a lifetime perfecting these two movements, and honestly, that's what makes them so fun.
One explosive pull from the floor to overhead. It's equal parts art and athleticism, and there's nothing quite like nailing one. We'll get you there.
Pull it to your shoulders, then send it overhead. Two lifts in one, and the feeling when it clicks is honestly addictive.
These lifts reward patience and precision. Our coaches geek out on positions, timing, and the little details that make big differences. You'll feel the difference in every rep.
When you get faster under a barbell, everything else gets easier. Running, CrossFit WODs, playing with your kids. This stuff transfers.
Nobody's throwing you into heavy lifts on day one. We start with position drills, hang variations, and complexes. You'll earn every kilo on the bar.
These sessions are kept intimate on purpose. More eyes on your technique, more feedback per rep, and coaches who actually know your name and your sticking points.
You want to improve your snatch and clean & jerk technique
You're a CrossFit athlete who wants to lift heavier in WODs
You love the challenge of a technically demanding sport
You want focused barbell time outside of regular classes
You're curious about Olympic lifting and want to learn properly
You want to develop explosive power and athleticism
Add a session or two to your week and watch what happens. Heavier snatches in class, smoother cleans in WODs, and that "oh, it clicked" moment that makes your whole week.
Plans & Access
Which membership plans include Olympic Weightlifting sessions?
Which plan should I choose?
Can I try a specialty session before I commit to a plan?
I'm scared of dropping a barbell on myself.
That's a common fear, and a reasonable one. That's exactly why we coach every rep. You'll learn how to bail safely from any position before you ever go heavy. Our bumper plates and lifting platforms are designed for missed lifts. It's part of the process, and we prepare you for it.
Do I need Olympic lifting experience?
No. Our development sessions welcome complete beginners. We start with PVC pipe and empty barbells, drilling positions and timing before adding any load. You'll be surprised how technical and rewarding it is even with light weight.
I'm worried about hurting my back or shoulders.
So are we, which is why we prioritise positions over load. Olympic lifts done with proper coaching and progression are actually excellent for building resilient joints and a strong back. We don't rush the process.
These lifts look really complicated. Can I actually learn them?
They are complex, and that's what makes them rewarding. We break each lift into small, learnable pieces. Hang variations, pause drills, complexes, each step builds on the last. You won't be asked to do a full snatch from the floor on day one.
How does this relate to my CrossFit classes?
CrossFit workouts include snatches and clean & jerks regularly. Dedicated weightlifting sessions help you improve those lifts outside of the WOD so you can perform better in class. Think of it as extra credit that pays off every week.
How often should I do weightlifting sessions?
1-2 sessions per week alongside your regular CrossFit classes is the sweet spot for most members.
Will this help me lift heavier in class?
Absolutely. Better technique means more efficient movement, which means more weight on the bar and faster times. Members who attend weightlifting development consistently see significant PRs.
Start with your free classes, say hi to a coach, and mention you're interested in weightlifting. We'll point you in the right direction and take it from there. No pressure, just barbells.
