Health notice
Our coaches are coaches, not doctors. Nothing on this website, in our tools and articles, or in class is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Before you train
Talk to your doctor before you start if you have a heart condition, high blood pressure or diabetes, an injury or recent surgery, are pregnant or postpartum, take medication, or have not exercised in a while. Tell your coach about any of these before class. Every workout can be scaled, so ask. Stop and tell a coach straight away if you feel pain, dizziness, chest discomfort or breathlessness that is not normal for you.
Physical training carries a risk of injury. You train at your own risk, and before your first class you sign our release and waiver in Wodify.
Tools, calculators and quizzes
Our calculators, quizzes, scores and assessments give estimates for general guidance. They are not a diagnosis or a prescription.
Nutrition and supplements
Food guidance here is general coaching for healthy adults, not a prescribed diet. If you have kidney disease or diabetes, a history of disordered eating, or are under medical care for your weight, get sign-off from your doctor or a registered dietitian first. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before starting, stopping or changing any medication or supplement, including GLP-1 medications.
Pregnancy and postpartum
Get clearance from your doctor or midwife before training while pregnant or after giving birth, and tell your coach. A pelvic floor physiotherapist is worth seeing postpartum before returning to impact and heavy lifting.
Stress, burnout and mental health
Our burnout and stress tools are self-checks, not a diagnosis, and they do not replace a doctor, psychologist or counsellor. If you are in crisis in Canada, call or text 9-8-8 any time, or call 911.
Youth programs
Anyone under 19 needs consent from a parent or guardian on file before training with us.
