Pacing, transitions and race-day strategy, and the questions athletes ask before they commit to a block.
Is Race Ready mandatory before joining HYROX classes?
No. Unlike our CrossFit Foundations, Race Ready is not mandatory. You can jump into HYROX classes anytime with your membership. However, we highly recommend Race Ready if you're seriously considering doing a HYROX race. It will save you time, prevent mistakes, and give you a clear baseline to train from.
Is Race Ready right for someone who has never raced HYROX?
Absolutely. Race Ready is designed specifically for people who are new to HYROX or haven't raced yet. We break down every station, teach proper technique, and build your race plan from scratch. You don't need any prior experience.
What is the HYROX PFT and why does Race Ready start with it?
The HYROX PFT (Physical Fitness Test) is a structured fitness assessment that tests you across the key demands of HYROX. It gives you a score that helps us (and you) understand your strengths, weaknesses, and where to focus your training. Think of it as your starting line for smart preparation.
I already train CrossFit. What does Race Ready add?
CrossFit gives you an incredible fitness base, but HYROX has specific demands: pacing across 8 stations, running strategy, transition management, and station-specific technique. Race Ready teaches you how to apply your CrossFit fitness to the HYROX format.
How long is each Race Ready session?
Each session is approximately 75 minutes. That gives us time to cover technique, practice, and strategy without rushing.
Can I do Race Ready before I have committed to a race?
Of course. Many people do Race Ready to explore HYROX before committing to an event. It's a great way to find out if racing is something you'd enjoy, with no pressure to sign up.
When does the next Race Ready cohort start?
Race Ready runs as a cohort in the weeks leading up to major HYROX events. Check the schedule page or ask at the front desk for the next start date.
4 coached sessions of about 75 minutes, with station technique, pacing, transitions and your race plan built in.
