Common questions

What is the best fitness calculator for beginners?

The Push-Up Test and Step Test are the best starting points for beginners. They require no equipment, take just a few minutes, and give you a clear baseline for upper body strength-endurance and cardiovascular fitness. From there, the Protein Calculator helps you make sure your nutrition supports your training.

What calculator should I use for CrossFit percentages?

Use the Load Percentage Calculator. Enter your one-rep max (or use the Rep Max Estimator to find it first), and it shows you the exact weight to load at every percentage from 50% to 95%, rounded to the nearest loadable plate.

What is the best tool for HYROX pacing?

The HYROX Pace Bands tool is built specifically for race-day pacing. Enter your target finish time or known run pace, choose a pacing strategy, and get exact target times for each of the eight running legs.

Which fitness test should I start with?

If you have never tested your fitness before, start with the Push-Up Test for a strength-endurance baseline and the Mile Run Test or Cooper Test for cardiovascular fitness. These are simple, well-researched, and require minimal equipment.

How often should I use recovery tools?

The Recovery Check-In is designed for daily use. A quick 60-second check-in each morning helps you build awareness of your recovery patterns and adjust your training intensity before problems develop.

Are these fitness tools free?

Yes, all 23 tools are completely free, require no signup, and work on any device. They are built and maintained by the CrossFit BC coaching team.

Can I use these tools on my phone?

Yes. Every tool is designed to work on mobile, tablet, and desktop. Time-based inputs support typing with colons (e.g. 6:15 or 1:25:30) for easy entry on any device.
