10 Foods People Think Are Healthy That Quietly Keep Them Overweight

This article is part of the CrossFit BC journal, written by the coaching staff who run our classes in Olympic Village, Vancouver. We publish what we teach on the floor: training decisions, recovery, nutrition, and the honest tradeoffs behind them.

Common questions

Are these foods bad for you?

Not bad. Just not what they advertise. Most are fine occasionally. The problem is treating them as fat-loss foods when they are calorie-dense treats wearing a health costume.

What should I eat instead?

Build meals around a palm of protein, two cupped hands of vegetables, a thumb of fats, and a cupped hand of carbs based on your activity. Real food, measured portions, repeated.

Will the 30-Day Lifestyle Reset force me to give these up?

No. We teach you to read labels, swap intelligently, and build a plate that fits your goals. The point is not restriction, the point is awareness.
