Typically from around age 30, at roughly 1 percent per year. That gradual decline is normal. A sharp drop, or symptoms like persistent fatigue, low libido, mood changes, and loss of muscle despite consistent training, is worth investigating with your physician rather than assuming it is just age.
Resistance training produces an acute hormonal response, and more importantly it preserves the muscle mass, insulin sensitivity, and body composition that keep your hormonal profile healthy over years. The long game matters far more than the post-workout spike.
That is a decision for you and a physician, based on symptoms plus repeat blood work, not on a podcast or a conversation at the gym. Before that conversation, make sure sleep, alcohol, training, and body composition are actually handled, because they move the numbers more than most men expect.
