A good HYROX gym has four things: a coaching team (not a single personality), programming structured in phases, race-spec equipment, and open gym access so you can get the volume you need. Add a real community of athletes training for the same races and you have everything you need.

How much does HYROX training cost in Vancouver?

Most Vancouver gyms offering serious HYROX programming run between 200 and 350 dollars per month, depending on whether you have unlimited classes, open gym access, and small-group coaching. At CrossFit BC, our HYROX athletes train on a standard membership that includes unlimited classes and open gym, so you are not paying extra to layer HYROX on top of your CrossFit base. Price alone is a poor signal. Look at coaching quality and outcomes before you compare price tags.

How many sessions per week should I train for HYROX?

For most athletes, 3 to 5 structured sessions per week is the sweet spot. HYROX Foundations athletes typically train 3 days a week (two CrossFit classes plus one HYROX-specific session) while building their engine. HYROX Race Ready athletes inside a race block usually train 4 to 5 days, mixing CrossFit, HYROX-specific intervals, compromised running, and one longer aerobic piece. More is not better. Consistency and recovery beat volume every time.

Who is HYROX Foundations for?

HYROX Foundations is for athletes who are newer to HYROX or coming back after time off. If you have never raced, are not yet comfortable with sled push and pull at race weight, or want to build a base before committing to a race, this is your starting point. You will learn the 8 stations with proper technique, build your aerobic capacity, and finish ready to either race a first HYROX or move into Race Ready.

Who is HYROX Race Ready for?

HYROX Race Ready is for athletes with a race on the calendar, typically 8 to 16 weeks out. You should already be comfortable with the 8 stations, able to run 5K continuously, and ready to commit to 4 to 5 training days per week. The program peaks you for race day with phased programming: base, build, peak, taper. If you are chasing a PR or your first sub-90 finish, this is the program.

Do I need to train at a HYROX-affiliated gym?

Not strictly, but it helps. HYROX-affiliated gyms have race-spec equipment and coaches who understand the race demands. You can prepare at a non-affiliated gym if the programming and equipment are right, but the closer your training environment is to the race environment, the better race day will go.

Is CrossFit BC a HYROX gym?
