Common questions

Do I need to be fit before starting at CrossFit BC?

No. Most of our members started exactly where you are. We coach the first version, then build the next one with you.

Is CrossFit BC beginner-friendly?

Yes. Every workout is scaled to your level, every class. The first step is a free intro or our 3-for-Free trial.

Can I try HYROX if I have never raced before?

Absolutely. Most of our HYROX athletes started as curious beginners. We coach pacing, technique, and strategy from day one.

What is the difference between CrossFit and HYROX?

CrossFit is broad fitness across strength, gymnastics, and conditioning. HYROX is a fixed race format that mixes running with functional stations. They overlap and complement each other, and we coach both.

Where is CrossFit BC located?

278 East 1st Avenue, Vancouver, BC. We are in Olympic Village, walking distance from Mount Pleasant, False Creek, and Main Street.

Is there parking?

Yes. We have 6 designated parking stalls plus easy nearby street parking and quick transit access.

What is the 3-for-Free program?

Three free classes so you can experience the room, the coaching, and the community before you commit to anything. Book it on our free trial page.

Can I drop in if I am visiting Vancouver?

Yes. Visit our drop-in page to reserve a spot. CrossFit and HYROX classes are both open to drop-ins.

What if I have injuries or limitations?

Tell your coach before class. We scale movements every day for every body. Personal training is also available if you want a more tailored start.

How do I know what program is right for me?

The Start Here page walks you through it in under two minutes, or come in for a free intro and we will help you choose.
