With a coach and a sane plan, strength training in your forties, fifties, and sixties has lower joint stress than running and lower fall risk than nothing.
Two to four sessions a week is the sweet spot for most adults. Twice a week is enough to maintain and slowly build. Three to four sessions is enough to make real progress and rebuild what age has been quietly taking. Quality and consistency matter more than volume.
