How to Train for HYROX Without Losing Strength

Not if you program it correctly. The athletes who lose strength during HYROX prep are typically running too much, under-eating, or replacing strength sessions with more conditioning. Smart programming avoids all of these.
At minimum, 2 to 3 strength-focused sessions per week. Most of our athletes get this through their CrossFit classes, which include dedicated strength work in every session.
Generally, no. Racing at a sustainable bodyweight with adequate fuel produces better results than racing lighter but under-nourished and under-recovered. Focus on performance, not the scale.
