Massively. The same-size personal pie at home runs 500-650 calories with 35-55g of protein. The chain equivalent is typically 900-1,200 calories with 30-40g of protein. You save calories AND get more protein.
Three solid options: thin whole-wheat (best texture, adds fibre), Greek-yogurt 2-ingredient dough (1 cup self-rising flour + 1 cup Greek yogurt — adds 8g of protein), or cauliflower crust (lowest carb). All work.
Preheat your oven to 475°F with a pizza stone or upside-down sheet pan inside. Slide the pizza onto the hot surface. The blast of heat from below crisps the bottom in 2-3 minutes — same effect as a pizzeria deck oven.
Absolutely. Grill at 500°F over direct heat with the lid closed for 6-8 minutes. The smoke flavour is incredible. Watch the bottom doesn't burn.
