HYROX Foundations vs Race Ready Vancouver from CrossFit BC. New to HYROX or chasing a PR? Two programs, two goals. Pick the right one in 2 minutes. Here's the breakdown.
HYROX Foundations vs Race Ready: Which Vancouver Program Fits You?
This article is part of the CrossFit BC journal, written by the coaching staff who run our classes in Olympic Village, Vancouver. We publish what we teach on the floor: training decisions, recovery, nutrition, and the honest tradeoffs behind them.
If you have not raced HYROX, cannot string together 8 wall balls + a 200m run without redlining, or have less than 6 months of consistent functional training, start with Foundations. If you have raced (or trained for) at least one HYROX, can hold steady pace through compromised running, and want to chase a specific finish time, Race Ready is the right room.
Yes. We move athletes up the moment their engine, mechanics, and recovery hold up under Race Ready volume. We also move athletes back when life loads spike. The goal is the right stimulus, not ego.
You do not need to be an existing CrossFit member. Both HYROX programs are open to drop-ins, members, and athletes coming from other gyms. A short coach call is the fastest way to be placed correctly.
