It means training at roughly 80 percent of your maximum effort most days, leaving a rep or two in the tank, picking sustainable conditioning paces, and ending sessions feeling like you could do more.
Maximum efforts cost recovery you usually can''t afford. The result is poor sleep, nagging injuries, missed sessions, and plateaus.
Three to five real sessions per week is the sweet spot for most adults: two to three strength days, one to two conditioning days, daily walking, and one full rest day.
