You Don't Need a New Plan. You Need a Better Start.

This article is part of the CrossFit BC journal, written by the coaching staff who run our classes in Olympic Village, Vancouver. We publish what we teach on the floor: training decisions, recovery, nutrition, and the honest tradeoffs behind them.

Common questions

How do I know if CrossFit is right for me?

You don't — until you try it. That's why we offer 3 free classes. No commitment, no pressure. Just show up, move, and see how it feels.

What if I'm completely out of shape?

That's exactly where most people start. Every workout is scaled to your level. The coaches meet you where you are, not where you think you should be.

Why 3 free classes instead of just 1?

One class is brand new and unfamiliar. By session 2 or 3, you start to feel comfortable, recognize faces, and understand the flow. That's when you can actually decide if it fits.

Do I need to get in shape before starting?

No. That's like saying you need to be clean before you shower. The whole point is to start where you are and build from there.

What's the difference between a free trial and the 30-Day Lifestyle Reset?

The free trial gives you a taste — 3 classes to experience coaching, community, and movement. The 30-Day Lifestyle Reset is a full guided program with nutrition, training, and accountability built in.

How much protein do I actually need?

A good starting point is 1.6–2.2g per kilogram of bodyweight. For a 75kg person, that's roughly 120–165g per day. Use our free macro calculator to get your personalised target in 60 seconds — it factors in your weight, activity level, and goals.

How does meal structure support the 30-Day Lifestyle Reset?

The Reset isn't a diet — it's a framework. You'll learn to build meals around protein, add whole-food carbs and fats for energy, and time your nutrition around training. Simple, repeatable meals beat complicated meal plans every time. Your coach helps you dial it in week by week.
