Train movement patterns, not isolated stretches. Combine end-range positions (like a deep supported squat), controlled joint movement (slow circles through your full available range), and balance or single-leg work. Range plus strength plus control is what makes mobility actually stick.
Usually no. Passive stretching can buy you a temporary window of range, but if you don't learn to own that range with strength and control, your nervous system pulls it back within hours. Mobility that lasts is mobility you can use.
Five focused minutes most days will outperform a 30-minute session you do once a week. Think of it like brushing your teeth: short, repeatable, non-negotiable. Three days a week is a good floor; daily is even better.
