Most first-time Open athletes finish between 90 minutes and two hours. Strong age-group racers land near 70 to 80 minutes, and elite fields go under an hour. Doubles teams are usually faster than solo Open times because the station work is shared.

HYROX sets entry pricing and it rises in tiers as a race fills, so the earliest release is always the cheapest. Doubles and Relay are priced per team. Check the official event page for the current tier, and budget separately for spectator tickets.

Is HYROX harder than CrossFit?

It is different rather than harder. HYROX is one fixed 90-minute-ish aerobic race with eight known stations, so it rewards running and pacing. CrossFit varies daily and asks for a broader skill set including barbell and gymnastics work. Most people train both.

How long should I train before my first HYROX?

Sixteen weeks is the sweet spot if you are starting from general fitness. Twelve weeks works if you already run and lift consistently, and 20 weeks is safer if running is new to you.
