Common questions

Where is CrossFit BC located?

CrossFit BC is at 278 East 1st Avenue in Vancouver's Olympic Village neighbourhood, steps from the seawall, SkyTrain, and the Cambie and Main Street corridors. Five free stalls marked CFBC in the lot next to the gym, plus free 2-hour street parking on East 1st and the surrounding blocks.

I'm brand new to CrossFit. Where should I start?

Start with 3 free classes. You'll be coached through scaled versions of every movement, no experience required. If you'd prefer a private on-ramp, our Foundations program walks you through the basics one-on-one or in a small group before joining regular classes.

I'm visiting Vancouver. Can I drop in?

Yes. Drop-ins are welcome at coached 60-minute CrossFit and HYROX classes. Book online through the drop-in page, show up 10 minutes early, and a coach will get you set up.

Do you offer HYROX training?

Yes. CrossFit BC runs coached HYROX classes built around running, sleds, carries, wall balls, strength, and conditioning. Sessions are scalable for first-timers and structured enough for athletes prepping for a race.

What classes do you run and when?

We run CrossFit, HYROX, Cardio Club, Open Gym, Olympic lifting, gymnastics, and mobility throughout the week, with early morning, midday, and evening options. The live schedule shows today's classes and lets you book a spot.

How much does membership cost?

Pricing reflects the coaching, programming, and small class sizes. Most people start with 3 free classes, then chat with a coach about the membership that fits their goals and schedule. Full options are on the membership page.

What should I expect in my first class?

About 55 minutes: a coach greeting and quick chat about your background, a group warm-up, a skill or strength piece taught from scratch, the workout scaled to you, then a cool-down. You are never left to figure out a movement on your own, and every workout has an easier option.

What gear or clothing do I need?

Just training clothes, running shoes, and a water bottle. We have chalk, bars, and all equipment on site. Change rooms and showers are available. Lifting shoes, a skipping rope, and a belt are nice to have later, but nothing you need on day one.

What if I need to cancel or pause?

Class bookings can be cancelled in the app up to 2 hours before the session with no penalty. Memberships can be paused for travel, injury, or a busy stretch at work, just email info@crossfitbc.com and we will sort it out. No long-term contract is required to train with us.
