1. When did you join CrossFit BC?

2. Why did you choose CrossFit?

I love how it’s a positive environment to keep progressing – whether your coaches, your friends, yourself – every day you want to push yourself to get better

3. What changes in your health, physique and overall performance have you seen since starting CrossFit?

I have gone from nearly puking after my first WOD to now only sprawling on floor after every WOD 🙂 Seriously, until CrossFit, I didn’t realize how poor shape I have become over the years, so CrossFit has been huge in getting me back into good health.

4. What advice would you give to someone with regards to starting CrossFit?

Compete with yourself, not with others.

5. What is your favourite CrossFit exercise?

Burpees… (just kidding). I don’t have a favorite – I like being able to do different exercises every day – and hate them all while I’m doing them.

6. What is your favourite activity outside of CrossFit?

In the winter – snowboarding. All other seasons, I try to ride in my electric skateboard as a substitute for boarding.

7. What is your proudest accomplishment at CrossFit?

Being able to do my first strict pull up. Finally able to to a pull up without bands was awesome.

8. Have you made any changes to your diet?

I tried keto for a few months and lost 10 lbs, but it was tough socially. Now i just try to eat clean.

9. Is there something that people would be surprised to know about you?

Last summer, as a challenge to myself to get even better physically, I signed myself up for my first obstacle course race. It was awesome, and put the rope climbs, sled pulls, and pull ups to good use. Definitely going to be doing more obstacle courses this summer!

10. What/who inspires you the most?

Honestly – everyone else at CrossFit. I see people of all ages and sizes lifting amazing weights and amazing movements.. there is always someone who is my hero for every CrossFit movement.
