1. When did you join CrossFit BC?
Summer of 2015

2. Why did you choose CrossFit?
While I was at university, my roommate was taking Kinesiology classes with Lucas Parker and I decided to do a drop in at his gym in Victoria. Loved it from the start.

3. What changes in your health, physique and overall performance have you seen since starting CrossFit?
I was just doing a little bit of swimming and yoga when I first started CrossFit. I have noticed that my strength and endurance has increased hugely, which transfers over to the other activities that I love to do.

4. What advice would you give to someone with regards to starting CrossFit?
To try it out. See if it’s for them. Also, to try more than one class so you get to see what CrossFit and the community is really about.

5. What is your favourite CrossFit exercise?
Changes every day! Usually whatever is feeling easy that week.

6. What is your favourite activity outside of CrossFit?
Any activity that has to do with being in the water. Annnnnnnd, sleeping. I’m really lazy at heart.

7. What is your proudest accomplishment at CrossFit?
The last couple months have been pretty fun for me as I have been doing a bit of extra strength work. It’s been really cool to see the numbers go up and see how the strength gains transfer over to other movements.

8. Have you made any changes to your diet?
Consistently working out always makes me eat more. It also makes me notice how much better I feel when I’m eating food that fuels it properly. But, even in saying that, I seriously love pizza. And chips.

9. Is there something that people would be surprised to know about you?
In the past 7 years, I have made about 150 trips to Banff during the summers, but never spent longer than 2 hours there.
