2018 CROSSFIT BC SUMMER CHALLENGE – August 11, 2018

Competition season is here, so CrossFit BC is preparing for our annual Summer Challenge!! This year is a one day competition for mixed teams of 2 (1 male & 1 female).

Since 2010, competitors from all over BC and Washington State have enjoyed this fantastic event.

The CFBC Summer Challenge is for all CrossFitters that have completed their foundations. From those that are new to CrossFit, all the way to the Fire Breathers. It will test not only your strength and conditioning, but also your strategic planning. Think you know what to expect? Think again! You and your partner must be ready for the unknown and unexpected. Come prepared for some surprises and of course expect to have a great time! This is an inclusive competition. Everyone is welcome!

CrossFit Jump Rope Workshop – September 15, 2018

The CrossFit Workshop: Jump Rope is a hands-on, fast-paced, fun seminar at which participants learn how to use a simple and effective tool to energize their programming and workouts. The workshop features longtime CrossFit proponent and 1992 U.S. Olympian Buddy Lee, who is widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost jump-rope authorities. Participants will leave the workshop with clear paths to elusive jump-rope skills such as double-unders, triple-unders and more.

CrossFit BC Charity Row – October 20, 2018

TEAM CHARITY ROW EVENT – HOSTED BY CROSSFIT BC
ALL PROCEEDS SUPPORTING THE ROYAL CANADIAN MARINE SEARCH AND RESCUE

All funds raised by entrance fees will go directly to the RCMSAR. If you are unable to take part, we encourage you to donate to the RCMSAR by clicking the ticket link.
Athletes are strongly encouraged to start a fundraising page for themselves and their team. Come up with a fun team name, a fun team shirt or costume, tell their friends and spread the good word.

– You can assemble a team of up to six people, this can be a mixture of males and females ($150/team).
– You will be rowing from downtown Vancouver to Victoria Ferry Terminal, 115,000m, this is the target we are all rowing for.
– You have 10 hours to complete the challenge, an average pace of 2:30 / 500m will achieve this.
– No one is getting their feet wet, the challenge will take place on Concept 2 rowing machines.

Please arrive on time for the competition.
