1. When did you join CrossFit BC?
I joined CrossFit BC in July 2016. My first CrossFit experience.

2. Why did you choose CrossFit?
I have heard a lot of good things about CrossFit and I was in the process of getting in shape and in a healthier lifestyle after a couple of years spent in Dubai where partying, food and drinks in general was the way of life.

3. What changes in your health, physique and overall performance have you seen since starting CrossFit?
Oh lord! I saw so many changes it still surprises me every single day. Except seeing my body getting where I always wanted it to be, I noticed so many improvements in my cardio, my mobility and my strength. I just feel better prepare for what life throws at me.

4. What advice would you give to someone with regards to starting CrossFit?
Since I started I don’t stop telling whoever wants to hear it that this is the ultimate sport. From 9 to 99 years old, people should CrossFit. The world would be such a healthier place if everyone would CrossFit. It is fitness, but a sport amd a community of friends at the same time, exactly what any sport should be.

5. What is your favourite CrossFit exercise?
I’m in the process of doing more benchmarks but even if I haven’t done Murph yet, I would say this is my favorite. Mainly for everything surrounding this WOD. The significance behind it, how difficult it is when at the same time being only body weight movements. Great proof of the efficiency of CrossFit.

6. What is your favourite activity outside of CrossFit?
I work in the Food & Beverage industry so Restaurants and Bars are obviously in my top list, however, since I moved to Vancouver and Started CrossFit, Hiking, Cycling and Running are in top of my list too.

7. What is your proudest accomplishment at CrossFit?
Every day I have proud accomplishments which amaze me. When I was doing Boootcamp, my best accomplishment was to manage to do a WOD as Fitness. Then it became the ability to do a Comp. Now it is to do a comp RX. But overall, I think my proudest accomplishment are every PR I hit. Most recently my 425lb deadlift. It felt amazing to have the box’s support while doing it.

8. Have you made any changes to your diet?
Clearly. I am not strict on Zone diet but trying for sur to avoid processed food and fuel my body with natural and bio products

9. Is there something that people would be surprised to know about you?
Mmmh! That I m Swiss and Peruvian, I worked in China, lived in Dubai and used to be sponsored as a Skateboarder when I was young?

10. What/who inspires you the most?
So many people inspire me. But I would say Barack Obama for his leadership and what he brought to the world against all odds against him. Sometime we forget the importance of integrity which in nowadays world is even more important to go from good to great.
